Swimming Metrics with Video Examples
A skilled swim stroke is like a well-tuned triathlon bike…the athlete who has control over their stroke has the ability to choose their speed, tempo, and pace based on their needs. Just like a runner or cyclist can choose their pace at will, a swimmer should be able to choose their “gear” depending on the goals of training and racing. Learning how to evaluate your athlete’s distance per stroke, and tempo is a key component of helping them improve their swim. This webinar reviews the relationships between height, stroke length, the impact of tempo and includes video examples to evaluate. Finally, we go over sample swim sets that can be designed based on your initial metrics evaluation of your athlete.
